Our firm was registered and commenced professional day-to-day operations in 1979 and has since grown to be a reputable multi-disciplinary firm of Estate Surveyors, Valuers and Facility Managers nation-wide.

The Partners of DOSU FATOKUN & CO (DFC) are inspired by a common desire to nurture a giant organization with full stature/structure and top quality management that will defy the high mortality pattern of Nigerian insular companies. With in-house capacity build-up, DFC will contribute to the marker share of Nigerians in its chosen fields of operation and compete favourably with their expatriate counterparts.

Since 1986,we have deliberately maintained technical partnership with a world leading firm of facilities managers in London. DOSU FATOKUN & CO is committed to maintaining active participation of indigenous organizations in major national development and reform programmes of the country. DFC offers timely and quality professional services at the most competitive prices obtainable.

OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE AND KEY PERSONNEL

The firm is a partnership with 5 equity partners, 6 associate partners and over 25 variously qualified professionals complemented by over 300 personnel in other professional categories ranging from sub-technical, accounting, administrative to secretarial staff. The entire firm is headed by the Managing Partner, Chief, Honourable T. O. Fatokun, a senior professional member of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), and International Facility Management Associalion of U.S.A and Nigeria. He is currently the National President of NIESV, the professional body legally recognized for the control and development of Property Management in the country.

PROFESSIONAL STATUS AND RECOGNITION

Our firm is duly registered and accredited by the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON). These are the two bodies regulating the profession of estate surveying and valuation in the country. We also belong to other relevant international bodies including the following:

Institute of Revenue, Rating and Valuation of United Kingdom.
International Federation of Real Estate (FIABCI) with headquarters in Paris, France.
International Facility Management Association of United States of America and of Nigerian Chapter.

On completing his M.Sc in Appraisal at the University of Reading in 1976, Chief Dosu Fatokun took up appointment with East Kilbride Corporation in Scotland. He commenced practice on his own in 1979. In 1992-1993 he was privileged to serve as a Legislator in the National Assembly . Chief Fatokun was also for many years the Chairman of the Continuing Professional Development Committee of the Nigerian Institute of Surveyors and Valuers – a committee responsible for updating members’ technical knowledge on professional subjects including property and facility management. He served as Chairman of the Oyo Sate Property Development Corporation from 2003 -2004. He is currently the President of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) as well as the Chairman of WEMABOD Estate Ltd. He has attended various professional workshops and seminars both locally and internationally on professional subjects including Facilities Development and Management. Chief Fatokun ahs published extensively particularly on the subject of Facilities Management. He has over 30 years experience.
